Over 300 Student Leaders Attended USG’s Annual Event
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Sept. 21, 2016)–The University of Southern California Undergraduate Student Government (USG) hosted the annual Council of Presidents yesterday evening—a forum for campus leaders from over 300 different student organizations to collaborate, network, and voice their concerns to USG. The hope for USG was to further engage with student organizations, and further lend support to the work they do.
“The collaboration I saw encompasses what we aimed for and hopefully succeeded in doing for many of our student leaders and campus organizations,” said Kathryn Kelly, USG Marketing Director. “I hope this is just the beginning of a year of successful collaboration, and we’re glad USG can be a part of it.”
The Senior Associate Athletic Director and Senior Women Administrator, Dr. Donna Heinel, gave a riveting speech to those in attendance, focusing on the value of collaboration, innovation, and leadership. She spoke on the current state of the USC Athletic Department, and encouraged student leaders to continue their great efforts on campus.
The entire event was a unique opportunity for organization presidents to come together, and further their work to make the student experience the best it can be.
