To our newest Trojans: Welcome to the University of Southern California!

We could not be more thrilled that you have chosen USC to be your new home, and we’re even more excited to serve as your Undergraduate Student Government (USG) leaders this year!

At USG, our job is to represent the best interests of over 20,000 undergraduate students, which now includes you! We know that coming to a large school like USC can feel daunting at times, but our team of over 100 strong, of all backgrounds, beliefs, and ambitions, are here to support you in any capacity. We provide our student body with resources such as free New York Times subscriptions, interactive concerts and events, free Lyfts (“Fryfts”), Town Halls on key issues, and courses that help our new students succeed (OT100: THRIVE). From Orientation to Graduation, USG is committed to ensuring that you feel confident in selecting USC as your institution of choice and want to make your undergraduate college experience the best it could possibly be!

Our team is in charge of an annual 2.5-million-dollar budget, which we allocate to provide grants for students, fund RSOs (Recognized Student Organizations), and plan a number of events throughout the school year. In addition to our Communications and Funding Departments, our Executive Branch includes a number of student assemblies, along with USG’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council, all of whom are devoted to further progressing our campus to be more sustainable, equitable, and hospitable. Furthermore, our Legislative Branch works around the clock to advocate for policy changes and pass resolutions that help better our campus climate.

To learn more about our organization, you can head over to our website (usg.usc.edu) and subscribe to our newsletter. Also be sure to follow us @uscusg on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to keep up-to-date with all of our events, initiatives, senatorial progress, and campaigns, as well as our recruitment applications for the Fall!

Our number one priority at USG is to ensure that undergraduate students realize their fullest potential. No matter what you’re passionate about, USG can help you find a corner of this campus to make yours. We’re here to guide you throughout your USC journey, so please reach out to any of our members in the event you have questions, concerns, suggestions, or even if you just want to talk about a class you’re enjoying. You’ll find contact information for all our members on our website, where you can also connect with us via our online feedback form (usg.usc.edu/contact/), or by email at usg@usc.edu

We cannot wait to officially welcome you to our beautiful campus as the newest members of the Trojan Family. It’s going to be an even brighter place now that you’ll be joining us!

Fight On!
