USC Program Board is thrilled to welcome Jon Lovett!
As President Obama’s former speechwriter and joke writer for his annual White House Correspondents Dinner, Jon Lovett has made a name for himself as Washington’s “Funniest Celebrity.” Lovett also demonstrated his grasp of politics serving as the chief speechwriter for then-senator Hillary Clinton and during her campaign for presidency.
After leaving speechwriting, Lovett co-created his own White House political comedy 1600 Penn and lent his talent to producing HBO’s final season of The Newsroom. Most recently this fall, Lovett has signed on to executive produce Showtime’s dark political drama Anthem. In a keynote speech, Lovett will give his hilarious take on life in Washington D.C. and deconstructing the “art of bulls#%” in American culture today.
Join us in THH 101 on Monday, Dec 1st at 8:00PM for an evening with Jon Lovett. Hear about his experiences in and out of the White House, ask him questions, and get ready to laugh!
