Fall 2025 Senate Special Elections Result
Los Angeles, CA – At the September 30th meeting of the USG Senate, Chief Justice Ryan Tung announced the winner of the Fall 2025 Senate Special Elections. Senator Zachary Garcia, a senior studying political science, was elected as an Undergraduate Student Government senator after running on a “Zack on Track” campaign shown on his campaign platform via Instagram.
The Senate Special Elections occurred upon the resignation of Senator Dakota Driemeyer, and now Senator Zachary Garcia will fill this once vacant seat in the 145th Senate class. Garcia ran on a campaign platform where he shared his efforts to stay on track with Zack. “Zack on Track” focuses on providing affordable transportation, partnerships, and maintenance.
“I just want to say a big thank you to the Trojan family for all the support! After hundreds of conversations with students during my campaign and hearing so many incredible stories, I know our university is a community made up of leaders and advocates,” shared Senator Zachary Garcia. “Following that same spirit, as senator, I promise to be a resource for everyone, making sure our USC experience is one worth remembering!”
At the September 30th meeting of the USG Senate, Chief Justice Ryan Tung officially inaugurated Senator Zachary Garcia, who will serve for the remainder of the legislative USG year.
The USG Senate meets every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in TCC 450 (Tutor Forum). Every Senate meeting has an open forum. This is a space for any person to express ideas and/or concerns to the Senate in a verbal manner.
